301 Cedar Residence, 1-5-6
Uneno-sakuragi, Taito-ku, Tokyo 110-0002
The lacquer crafts of Japan once relied on domestically-sourced lacquer, but the domestic production of lacquer has dwindled sharply in recent years. This society aims to preserve all of the skills associated with the production of lacquer, from the planting and cultivation of lacquer trees to the refining of raw lacquer for use by lacquer artists and craftsmen.
